About Corporate Affairs and Fundraising Department:
The Corporate Affairs and Fundraising Department (CAF) promotes the QIMR Berghofer brand through its core responsibilities of corporate communications, media relations, marketing and philanthropy. QIMR Berghofer is a leader in social and mainstream media engagement and routinely supports its researchers by providing highly produced video content for major medical research outcomes.
Role Purpose / Responsibilities:
Applications are invited for role of Digital Media Operator. The role is primarily responsible for the capture and editing of a wide range of professional video content while also providing technical production services for live stream events and live crosses to broadcast TV news.
Working collaboratively with members of the media and/or marketing teams, the Digital Media Operator will produce, shoot and edit professional standard videos on medical research outcomes plus a variety of other internal and external video requirements. The Operator will also direct TV live crosses via TVU into broadcast news services and facilitate live stream events as required utilising the latest cloud-based production platforms.
About you:
You are required to have a diploma or degree in film and TV/Digital Media and/or minimum three years’ experience as a camera operator/editor with a video production agency or TV network. TV news camera operator/editor experience an advantage.
