Our flagship brands and services include ABC News 7PM, ABC News on digital and social media and ABC news channels on radio and television.About the RoleThe Brisbane newsroom is looking for an experienced and energetic cross-platform reporter to join the team to generate and deliver stories for local and national audiences.We're looking for a reporter who will file quality content for digital and broadcast audiences and work collaboratively with a big, busy team, often under tight deadlines.You'll need to understand the audience demands across Brisbane and Queensland and demonstrate strong communication and time management skills.About YouYou're an experienced cross-platform news reporter, with a track record of generating original stories and covering breaking news.You'll also be able to demonstrate:

• A strong understanding of Queensland issues and events.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as part of a team
• A good understanding of social media, in particular its use as a newsgathering and storytelling tool
• Well-developed cross-platform media production skills.
• Confident with relevant software, production systems and reporting tools.
