The ABC is looking for a Digital Producer for News. The role would suit an experienced Producer of online content who is happy working in a small team that can support the development of your skills. The role is a full-time, permanent position based in Hobart.
The Job
- You will produce and sub digital content (text, photos, audio and video) for News websites using CoreMedia and other production systems.
- Write and check stories for factual and style errors/inconsistencies and ensure content is accurate, timely and innovative
- Work collaboratively with newsroom colleagues from TV, radio, and the online central editorial team to cover metro and state stories.
About You
To join this team, you will need to be an accomplished Digital Producer with great storytelling skills and experience working in a news environment
You’ll have:
- A strong understanding of online News, including social media and methods of online content distribution and engagement.
- A track record as a meticulous, fast, and accurate sub editor, able to correct or rewrite copy to a high standard.
- A wide range of knowledge of News issues and a strong understanding of and commitment to the needs of the audience.
