Appointment Pool

Strategic and External Relations is seeking to establish a pool of Digital Strategy and Delivery Consultants for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of March, 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within 2024, up to the end of March 2025.

The School Curriculum and Standards Division provides administrative and secretariat services for, and implements the decisions of the Authority. The Authority provides quality curriculum, assessment and standards to enable all Western Australian students to become confident, creative learners and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society.

As part of the Digital Strategy and Delivery team, you will be

  • using the Authority’s website content management system (CMS), Squiz Matrix to edit website content and upload resources.
  • working with and providing advice to internal stakeholders to develop online surveys to gather feedback and produce online learning modules.
  • working with the Principal Consultant, Digital Strategy and Delivery to identify, develop and plan online activities.
  • Assisting to scope and manage online projects from concept design through technical development and implementation to delivery. Applicants with user experience design (UX design) would be highly desirable.

The Authority is working to adopt and adapt the Pre-primary to Year 10 Australian Curriculum version 9.0 within the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline. This position will provide an exciting opportunity for new staff to be involved in updating the Western Australian curriculum and support materials. Suitable applicants will make a significant contribution to a project that continues through to the end of June 2027.

Eligibility and Training Requirements

Employees will be required to:

  • provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
  • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
  • complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
  • complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
  • obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check if required

The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
