Our customers are photography studios, photography professionals, photography enthusiasts as well as public and private institutions with creative divisions.
Specular are seeking a full-time professional sales consultant for our Alexandria showroom to continue to build a strong base of loyal customers. We have great products that are clearly differentiated, and a unique business and brand that wins loyal customers.

To be successful you will need to be capable of both analytical and emotional sales process, as some of our customers are creative and aesthetic driven, while others are budget and specification driven.
The role:
Solution sales in the areas of Digital Medium Format and mirrorless cameras, professional lighting, computer workstations and storage.This includes:
- Building momentum with existing customers, and forming new relationships from inbound leads and your own efforts to form new client relationships
- Contributing to marketing strategy to increase inbound leads in Sydney
- Conducting engaging demonstrations that suit customers needs rather than follow a script
- Heading out to clients studios to demonstrate solutions or deepen our understanding of their needs
- Collaborating closely with the Melbourne team to hone strategic direction
Personal attributes:
We can list the typical traits everybody wants to see in their team, but you know those already. You should stand out because you are inherently curious, love strategising, get excited by cool technology, and be imaginative enough to connect the dots for clients.
Of course we expect you to be well presented, professional, and at ease in both casual environments (like fashion photography studios), or formal environments.
A history in photography, video and imaging is a bonus but not essential; if you are truly curious you will be easy to teach! Knowledge of Apple computers and a comfort with technology is essential.
You should be interested in developing your sales skills and open to new ideas, but also should be able to teach us a thing or two!
