AddressJob Title: Diploma Qualified Educator (Part-Time)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Diploma Qualified Educator to join our team in providing high-quality education and care to children. As a part-time role, you will contribute to the daily operations of our wonderful 47 place center, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children's growth and development. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of child development principles, and be committed to creating positive learning experiences for children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate educational programs that align with the center's curriculum
- Create a safe and inclusive environment where children can learn through play
- Supervise children during indoor/outdoor activities ensuring their safety at all times
- Observe each child's progress, document milestones, and communicate with parents regarding their child's development
- Collaborate with other educators in planning special events or excursions
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, accidents or any relevant information pertaining to the welfare of children
Skills:
- Strong understanding of child development principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to engage positively with children on an individual basis as well as in groups
- Good problem-solving skills
- Patience, empathy, creativity are essential qualities
Qualifications:
-Minimum Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (required)
-A current Working With Children Check clearance (or ability/willingness to obtain one)
-Knowledge of National Quality Framework (NQF) guidelines preferred but not required
Experience:
Entry-level - No prior experience required; however any experience working/volunteering with young children will be highly regarded.
