About Lyrebird Preschool:

Lyrebird Preschool is a not for profit, 40 place community based service operating in the Shoalhaven for almost 50 years. The preschool is open 40 weeks per year and operates Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 4pm.

We  offer a unique approach to early childhood education influenced by the principles of the Reggio Emilia Educational Project and underpinned by a commitment to learning in  nature – both within the preschool environment and  ‘beyond the fence’.  We value the culture and contributions of our local families and, residing on Wandi Wandian Country, aim to foster a sense of belonging and connection to the land and our shared Aboriginal history and culture.

The Role: 

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic educator to join our team. A genuine openness to inquiry, reflection and pedagogical exploration is essential, along with an interest in the value of the natural environment for supporting learning. 

 Criteria: 

• A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA approved equivalent qualification
• A current Working With Children Check
• Excellent written and communication skills 
• An approved Child Protection qualification.
