Known as one of the leading firms in the delivery of projects, this is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking, professional and dynamic construction project management and advisory consultancy.
A high degree of client and stakeholder liaison will be involved, from feasibility stage to delivery stage of projects. Leadership, communication and people management skillset will be paramount along with a strong base of technical knowledge.
Project experience in Industrial projects is ideal as it will be managing industrial project management teams however if you have experience in other complex construction sectors such as Data Centres, Ports, Aviation, Health, Manufacturing, Complex Infrastructure etc. that could also suit.
You must be comfortable managing high performing teams. The candidate must possess strong leadership and engagement skills as well as be comfortable with Business Development activities to be able to manage existing relationships as well as bring new business into the company. The candidate must have a Melbourne network.
From a technical aspect, the candidate will ideally have experience from front end through to delivering the construction phase of projects with strong contracts experience.
Candidates can come from client-side consultancy, main contractor or consulting engineering firms but will ideally have some client side experience.
Years of experience:
10 to 15 years+
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Business Development
- Client management and consultation
- Engagement, management and recruitment of teams
- Project Planning/Feasibility studies
- Risk Management
- Value Engineering
- Design Management and Value Engineering
- Procurement of construction services
- Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent
- Delivery of construction services
- Commissioning and post contract duties for handover
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar
- 10 - 15 plus years’ experience of end-to-end project management on building projects
- Experience in Business Development or a strong network would be an advantage
- Leadership skills
- Strategic thinker who is able to see the bigger picture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous client-side project management experience
