The Director Delivery Office (DO) is responsible for best practice program and project delivery and building agency capacity and capability to meet outcomes and delivery plans. It is also responsible for managing the department's strategic planning and performance monitoring to ensure alignment with planning priorities and delivery plans.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will be an experienced people leader with a proven track record in managing or supporting large and complex program of works in the environment, energy or water sectors. You will demonstrate exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills to help drive collaboration across the Department.
The Role
This position sits within the newly formed DCCEEW Office of the Secretary. The success of this role is critical to the implementation of strategic initiatives across the Department. Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead a comprehensive portfolio management function to provide the information base for transparent and robust reporting on program project and business activity implementation, assurance and benefit realisation of all deliverables.
- Coordinate and manage the development, monitoring and review of the DCCEEW Strategic Plan in partnership with the executive and stakeholders
- Lead, alongside departmental finance teams, the submission and coordination of New Policy Proposals as part of the State Budget process
- Lead an internal centre of excellence function, ensuring staff are supported through the program and project management lifecycles to deliver planned outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Degree qualification or certification in program or portfolio management
- Extensive experience in managing or supporting large-scale environmental, energy or water programs at the Executive level.
