Director Global Craft Leadership

Job Description
The Director Global Craft Leadership will play a key role in delivering our sales excellence standard by leading a high performing Global Craft Leader team. They will develop a clear vision for SaaS Sales Excellence that provides the framework for Global Craft leaders to deliver effectively, setting the standards for cross functional collaboration to drive sales excellence. They will lead Global Craft design through a team of expert Craft Leaders, defining clear and aligned responsibilities, accountabilities, key performance indicators and measures of success, owning the creation and maintenance of functional sales blueprints, driving Global Craft communities, and building the capacity and capabilities to align with GTM Plans and Sales Strategies.

They will align with HR Leaders to deliver on strategic people initiatives and align with the Transformation organisation to align Global Craft leaders to Transformation priorities. The Director Global Craft Leadership owns relationships with regional Sales VP’s fostering a sense of community by promoting open communication and mutual support, facilitating collaboration to ensure alignment and clarity in GTM strategies, Organisation Design, Craft Leadership and Functional Blueprint adoption.

The Director Global Craft Leadership is a highly collaborative role, they will work collaboratively across the Sales Excellence and Enablement organisation to align Organisational design and Sales Strategies to competency and execution. As the Global Route to Revenue champion for Sales craft they will provide strategic guidance to GTM leaders, Commercial and Sales Operations on the adoption of Functional Sales Blueprints, recognising GTM growth plan priorities and regional nuances to create regional capacity and capability plans.

The Director Global Craft Leadership will own key relationships with RTR Revenue Programme, RTR Sales and Success Digital Transformation, GMO, GTM and Commercial Leaders, Marketing, Enablement, BU, Finance.

This is a global role available in multiple locations, with a preference for Newcastle (UK) and Atlanta (US). Colleagues in other locations will be considered based on the requirements of the role and candidate skills and experience.

• Lead a team of Global Craft Leaders responsible for coaching, personal development, and team performance. Setting clear goals and expectations for a high performing team
• Align with Sales Excellence Programme Lead and prioritise work schedule of Global Craft Leaders
• Provide regular, clear, and timely reporting on the impact of the Craft Leadership organisation
• Align with Sage Corporate Planning, Vision, and Strategy
• Define and embed a clear vision for SaaS Sales Excellence, including a framework (customer journey) and foundational sales methodology within which Global Craft Leaders will deliver.
• Deliver Functional Sales Blueprints for Sales Excellence craft design through your team, including but not limited to job descriptions, levels aligned to competencies, reward, responsibilities, accountabilities, key performance indicators and measures of success.
• Create, develop, and build craft communities bringing together a distributed global community of colleagues to learn and develop together. Support Global Craft leaders and encourage innovative ideas to keep the communities engaged.
• Own the community of regional Sales VP’s.
• Align with Director(s) of Sales Enablement to agree Sales Enablement programme to support the development of the Sales Craft within Sage (Sales Process and Methodology, Sales Skills, and Coaching)
• Align with Global Route to Revenue – GTM Design and Scaling Lead to align sales craft capacity and capabilities with the regional implementations.
• Collaborate effectively with the Strategic Workforce planning team and wider HR team to align sales craft capacity and capabilities with the Sales Organisation of the future
• Work with the Global Process team to define and document process aligned to the sales craft

Requirements

• Recent and relevant experience leading a Sales Craft at Director level.
• Demonstrable understanding and experience applying sales methodologies with an ability to differentiate between methodologies and apply the right methodology in the right situation.
• Demonstrated understanding of SaaS go-to-market models, sales support roles, business metrics, and growth methodologies
• Ability to collaborate and effectively manage cross-functional teams charged with launching new programs and complex initiatives.
• Strong problem solver, with ability to critically analyse business plans, assess investment levels, prioritize resources, and focus on processes.
• Demonstrated ability to write well, edit effectively and present complex issues and projects succinctly, logically, and persuasively.
• A coach with mature coaching skills
• Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
• Forward looking with a holistic approach
• Innovative, seeks new ways of working and not afraid to challenge status quo. Open to experimentation and supporting others to do the same
• Strong presence with ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
