In this role, you will be providing expert-level 2nd Line of Defence review, challenge, subject matter insights and specialist advice. Collaborating across various Divisions with both Line 1 and other Line 2 teams to ensure effective management of relevant risk exposures.
Supporting the Head of Information Security and Privacy Risk Management, support broader team and Risk department objectives.
The role and day to day will include:
- Ensuring that NAB's Risk Management strategy and operational Risk Management framework are applied effectively in the context of InfoSec/Cyber risk
- Performing a variety of risk and control assessments and deep dive reviews, and agreeing practical solutions to remediate as needed and regularly assessing impacts
- Ensuring issues are known and holding Line 1 to account for resolution thereof in a timely manner
- Ensuring that compliance with data-related obligations is actively monitored and maintained, i.e. policy, legislation, and regulation
- Providing input to InfoSec/Cyber -related frameworks, policies, standards, controls, and establishment of risk metrics
- Providing and ensuring effective InfoSec/Cyber risk monitoring and risk reporting
- Relationship building across aligned business units and ensuring data risks are appropriately understood and reflected in risk profiles
What you will bring:
- 10+ years' professional experience in InfoSec/Cyber security Risk Management, preferably within Financial Services
- Deep risk and control knowledge and experience
- Proven history supporting strategic Information Security (incl Cyber) initiatives
- Well-read, with broad and deep knowledge of Information Security (incl Cyber)
- Line 2 Risk or prior Big 4 consulting / audit experience
- Critical thinker with the ability to constructively challenge and influence Line 1 management
- Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, with demonstrable ability to effectively manage through conflict and alternative views
- Strong professional writing and communication skills
- Relevant tertiary or post graduate qualifications in IT/Computer Science/Information Security
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CISM, CISSP)
