Job DescriptionJointly responsible for the strategic leadership, organisation-wide decision-making and policy development, management and operations of the Shire of Capel as a member of the Executive team.As our
Director Infrastructure & Development you will provide pivotal leadership and strategic direction to a multidisciplinary team encompassing Engineering, Planning, Building, Emergency Services, Environmental Health, Waste, Sustainability, Works, Parks, Natural Environment, Facilities and Strategic Projects. Your values-driven approach and continuous improvement focus will ensure the effective delivery of high-quality outcomes and services to our community, while building organisational capacity and team capability to meet the Shire's vision and objectives.With a strong community and customer focus, your will use your exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders throughout the Region and within the organisation and community; developing valuable partnerships and networks to support the achievement of the Shire's objectives. Your flexible, transparent, and accountable communication style will build trust across your team and beyond the organisation.

- Base annual salary circa $160,000 - $175,000 per annum dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications

- Experience in an Executive or Senior Leadership role and the demonstrated ability to deliver results in an environment of community and organisational growth and change.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic management of a multi-disciplined directorate and the delivery of a diverse range of complex infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated capability in the provision of strategic advice on infrastructure programs and projects, or strategic town planning to support the delivery of outcomes.
- Proven track record of establishing and building strong stakeholder and customer relations, including the ability to strategically influence and negotiate.
- Proven track record in building organisational capacity and identifying and successfully implementing new initiatives.
- Proven track record of building and enhancing organisational culture and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety principles and demonstrated track record safety performance.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and preparation, delivery and control, monitoring and reporting of annual budgets (capex, opex and income / revenue).
