Teracloud PTY, doing business as 21CS, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced RD Development Director to join our Perth Australia RD Lab. As the Development Director, you will be responsible for product development for several highly valued z/OS solutions, while driving business growth, and ensuring the success of our Australian based development. This position reports directly to the CEO based in the United States.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all aspects of our solutions development in Australia, including strategic planning, budgeting, and P&L management.
• Understand and navigate the software development life cycle, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products and services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and government agencies.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and cross-functional cooperation.
• Oversee a large team of 50+ employees, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to ensure their professional growth and development.
• Implement effective succession planning strategies to identify and nurture talent within the organization.
• Collaborate with the global product management team to align product roadmaps and ensure successful product launches in the Australian market.
• Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and drive innovation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a director, with a track record of successfully managing product development operations.
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and experience in delivering software products and services.
• Demonstrated experience in succession planning and talent management.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Worked for a US based employer.
• Familiarity with the Australian market and local business practices is highly desirable.
• Occasional travel domestically and internationally (less than 10%) .
• Ability to work and take some evening or early morning conference calls.
