Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead and maximise the performance of the Infrastructure Services Directorate at Southern Downs Regional Council to deliver services, programs and projects that make a difference for the community in alignment with Council's direction and supporting strategies. Your primary accountabilities include the development and implementation of the Corporate Plan, Operational Plan, Drought Management Plan, Capital Works Program, Drinking Water Operational Plan and the Drinking Water Quality Management Plan.
With demonstrated experience leading an operational team of specialists to deliver a portfolio of infrastructure programs and projects, you will provide specialist information and advice on all Infrastructure Services matters for Council, regular and systematic reporting to the CEO surrounding project milestones and community stakeholder engagement, along with contributing to developing Asset Management system maturity to benefit Council and the community.
With senior leadership experience, you will be comfortable with driving values-based transformation and be able to work collaboratively with the Executive Leadership Team and senior stakeholders within Government and industry. You will have sound political acumen and judgement and work effectively with big-picture policy issues.
Your experience will include demonstrated high levels of technical skills and competencies with relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (or a related discipline are essential). Accreditation as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) will be highly regarded.
