As a central business unit within the Department of Energy and Climate, Queensland Government Procurement (QGP) aims to shape procurement best practice across government through stronger partnership and increased capability.
QGP maintains a centrally enabled, agency led approach when delivering Whole of Government procurement policy and strategy. We do this by collaborating to share learnings and procurement best practice across government and the broader industry.
The Insights and Digital unit, within QGP aims to deliver analytics and research that ensure that QGP is strategic and future focused; to deliver better value for money that achieves economic, social and environmental outcomes for Queensland.
As Director, Insights and Digital, you will support stakeholders to maximise quality procurement outcomes through the provision of specialist procurement Insights and Digital.
Key responsibilities
* Successfully deliver a suite of complex whole of government procurement improvement projects.
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders to support genuine consultation for key initiatives.
* Build the capability of procurement professionals and those involved in procurement across the Queensland Government, through the development and delivery of procurement capability and workforce development strategies and enabling a range of capability uplift programs.
* Maintain the effective operation of whole of government procurement systems and lead planning for future system upgrades and/ or replacement.
* Provide critical advice, research and analysis of systems and data to inform agency procurement activity and improve outcomes.
* Adopt a planned and comprehensive approach to implementing organisational change through the application of best practice program and project management methodologies (e.g. MSP program, Prince 2 or Agile) to successfully deliver project outcomes.
* Coach and mentor managers, building their expertise in influencing and providing procurement advice to achieve better procurement outcomes.
