- Project Officer position with the Crown Lands Strategic Programs and Acquisitions team
- Permanent full-time opportunity based out of Newcastle with location flexible across our NSW office locations
- Salary ranges from $106,025 to $117,363 + super + annual leave loading + flex leave
Crown Lands is currently seeking a Project Officer Strategic Programs and Acquisitions to support the acquisition, vesting and sale of Crown land by other government agencies that promotes public interest and creates significant public benefits to the State.
In this role you will coordinate a range of land dealings including the Sale of Crown Land, vesting of Crown Land to other agencies, or facilitating the acquisition of Crown land by other agencies under the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991.
You will play a critical role in facilitating the efficient transfer of land to enable the delivery of government priorities including major infrastructure, renewable energy and housing projects.

About you
To be successful in this role you will;
- Be an excellent communicator and able to build and maintain strong networks with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate experience in applying legislation, policy and processes consistently and delivering outcomes.
- Demonstrate an ability to prioritise competing work demands given the diverse range of issues encountered simultaneously to be resolved with the defined time-frames.
- Demonstrate experience in researching information and interpreting and applying legislation and policy to support business case documentation, ministerial correspondence and executive briefings.
- Have experience working with the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991 desirable but not essential.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in property or other relevant field and/or equivalent experience
