About the organisation
The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) has been created by the Victorian Government to manage an ambitious suite of infrastructure projects with a value of over $10 billion. The VSBA remains within the Department of Education and Training and is focused on high quality and timely project delivery, with over 1,000 building projects across the State, as well as innovative reform in infrastructure design and delivery, and increased engagement with school communities. The VSBA was established in 2016 and is contributing to the delivery of the Government's Education State where every child has access to a great local school.
About the role
The Director Kinder Infrastructure Delivery will play a significant leadership role in overseeing the design, construction, development and delivery of early childhood infrastructure, with a particular focus on delivering kindergarten capital works on school sites. Reporting to the Executive Director Delivery Division, the appointee will oversee the procurement, design and delivery of projects, ensuring they meet quality standards while delivering public value within time and budget. As part of the project design and implementation process, the appointee will build productive relationships across DET central office, regional leadership teams, key government departments, Councils and other sector stakeholders while creating a culture of customer service while delivering a high-profile program of works.
About you
You are a senior capital works delivery professional with a strong commercial understanding of infrastructure program delivery and demonstrated ability to work as part of a high functioning senior leadership team. With excellent contract management and commercial acumen, you decisively manage financial issues and responsibilities. As an authentic leader, you contribute to strategic planning and culture in a positive manner to achieve best-practice in delivering outstanding outcomes. You are able to leverage your superior project management and commercial capabilities to lead major infrastructure initiatives that will deliver a significant social benefit at a state level.
