Overview:
Full-time, Continuing position.
Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.
About the role
This role holds the pivotal responsibility of leading the delivery of top-tier ICT services, projects, and programs, with a strong emphasis on supporting and enhancing the University’s Research Infrastructure. These efforts play a critical role in advancing the University's Enterprise, Education and Research strategic objectives. In this capacity, the individual collaborates closely with senior stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment with Research and Enterprise infrastructure strategies as well as associated services and systems.
This role champions the imperative of aligning service and product provision with the University's unique requirements, all while adhering to strict timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
Additionally, this role plays a key part in helping create a long-term eResearch Digital Infrastructure Roadmap, collaborating strongly with researchers across the University to ensure that the institution remains future-focused while addressing current needs. Working in close partnership with the Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research Infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a background in research and technology infrastructure development. They will influence the team in translating vision into practical solutions and ensure seamless execution across the organisation.
To be successful in this position you will ideally have:
Demonstrated delivery experience and a proven track record in research and technology infrastructure development.
An equivalent blend of relevant practical experience and educational/training background.

About the Operations Portfolio
The Operations Portfolio enables an integrated, enterprise-wide delivery for best practice student and staff experiences.
The Portfolio incorporates the following business units: Enterprise Projects and Business Performance (EPBP), Communications, People, Information and Technology Services (ITS), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Procurement and Vietnam Operations.
The Portfolio houses significant drivers and delivery components across the staff and student journeys and enables the overall experience for both groups. The Portfolio is integral in bringing the RMIT strategy to life, across the globe. Each of these functions supports the global operations of the University both directly as well as through its controlled entities.
The Information Technology Services (ITS) function provides RMIT University with current and emerging Technology systems and services.
