The Director, Learning & Content will develop and deliver a national program of content to inform, influence and inspire more and better philanthropy. It will be responsible for developing and delivering PA’s programs, content and learning agenda to engage Philanthropy Australia’s diverse audience, through large-scale events (e.g. National Conference and Australian Philanthropy Awards), webinars, communities of practice, accessible guidance, tools, digital resources and professional development. Reporting to the Executive Director, Engagement, and managing a small team, the Director, Programs & Content will be an empowering, action-oriented leader that can support team members, foster values-driven culture and lead by example as part of the Senior Management Team.
You will have an in depth knowledge of philanthropy and giving trends, which will underpin all you do. With excellent project management skills, you will excel in setting and monitoring timelines, managing workflows, budgets, quality, and evaluation of member engagement and satisfaction.
It is critical you actively develop and maintain good relationships with members of the philanthropic community and collaborate closely with others across the organisation.
About YOU
- At least 5 to 7 years’ experience in the philanthropic or for-purpose sector, with excellent knowledge of global and Australia’s philanthropic landscape, trends and core practices
- Proven experience in developing content-rich programs for learning, planning and delivering national events
- Experienced leader with a transparent, empowering and action-oriented approach
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to engage, collaborate with and influence stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication, planning, project management, budget and negotiation skills
- You have well-developed research and analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail, ability to multi-task prioritise and pivot quickly, especially with a demanding workload and competing deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or relevant qualification or experience
- Able to perform some work and travel outside of normal hours and operate within Philanthropy Australia’s Code of Conduct, values and policies, as well as develop and commit to KPIs in the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan.
