ABOUT THE ROLE
We seek a Director-Maintenance who will play a crucial leadership role within the Hillery Group. This position is pivotal in ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and will provide guidance and direction to the Maintenance Supervisors. The position is an exciting challenge for someone who is motivated by meeting deadlines, building solid interdepartmental relationships and ensuring the optimal performance of all assets. The right person will have strong business acumen skills with the ability to analyse data, establish plan parameters and create alternative plans where necessary.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Work as one with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
• Provide direct leadership to the Maintenance Supervisors fostering an accountable, collaborative, and results-driven culture.
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of Mechanics, Auto Electricians, Fabricators and Apprentices, providing regular feedback and coaching.
• Establish operational targets and drive performance improvements through the maintenance department.
• Utilise and improve our current Asset Management system for tracking asset lifecycle, inventory, locations, costs, and return on investment.
• Lead cross-functional activities to improve and maintain an accurate and complete asset system to allow reporting across the business.
• Oversee the planning process for asset acquisition, replacement and disposal.
• Promote and engage safety culture ensuring safety standards are implemented with a focus on risk management and at the same time compliance with the ISO standards.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, and optimise resource allocation to maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness whilst achieving production targets.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement identifying opportunities for optimisation and implementing best practices to reduce costs and increase productivity.
• Utilise your initiative and critical thinking skills to identify and solve issues as they arise.
ABOUT YOU
• A Bachelor, Associate Degree, or Diploma of Management or Asset Management (preferable)
• Trade certificate/s for mechanical engineering are preferable.
• Proven experience in senior leadership or management roles where you were responsible for improving the strength of the business or department.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all stakeholders.
• Possess high levels of resilience and determination to achieve successful outcomes.
• Proficient in multiple software applications and Microsoft products, preferably asset management software.
• Australian citizen or right to work in Australia.
