Director - Marketing

Mater Foundation are looking for a Director – Marketing to join our team! Reporting to the Mater Foundation CEO, this permanent, full-time role will be based at our Newstead offices.

Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900

What you’ll be doing

You will be a proactive member of the Mater Foundation management and leadership team, providing leadership and support to our people and initiatives ensuring outcomes and deliverables across the organisation.

Working within the Mater brand framework, and through an integrated marketing approach, support Mater Foundation business objectives to deliver revenue and growth targets by the efficiently and effectively delivery of philanthropic and fundraising marketing services.

Protect and enhance the Mater brand and support business revenue and growth targets by leading and managing the marketing strategy for Mater Foundation in line with the strategic business objectives of the organisation.

The role has direct line management of the Mater Foundation marketing team members and works closely with other members of (a) Mater Foundation’s Lotteries, Philanthropy, Corporate & Community Engagement, and Business Support & Operations teams, and (b) Mater’s Corporate Affairs (Brand, Internal & External Communications, Marketing and Events) team.

This role is responsible for enabling the marketing resources for the fundraising teams within Lotteries, Philanthropy, Corporate & Community Engagement, and for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the Mater.

About you

You will have five years’ minimum experience in a similar senior/management role with exposure to complex group environments, preferably in a philanthropic / fundraising environment.

• You will have tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in marketing and communications.
• Experience leading teams and influencing others to achieve shared outcomes.
• Knowledge of contemporary marketing principles and evolving trends including the use of digital communication channels.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering successful brand and marketing strategies to achieve the business objectives of an organisation.
• Proficiency in managing brand assets, digital asset management systems and digital platforms.
• Understanding and experience of effective digital marketing.
• Experience working with professionals in a service delivery environment.
