The rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior Media and Communications professional to join SAPOL at an exciting time.
With responsibility for the provision of leadership across all SAPOL communications, the Director, Media and Communications will oversee the delivery of communications support to SAPOL Executives and their respective services, while executing SAPOL content and social/mixed media strategies, working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Media Road Safety Unit and Marketing and Communications Unit.
Reporting to the Assistant Commissioner, Governance and Capability Service, you will deliver a proactive approach to the development and leadership of strategic communication plans designed to raise the brand and profile of SAPOL, while overseeing internal and corporate communications and media relations activities on behalf of the Commissioner.
You will be able to demonstrate a highly structured, organised and strategic approach to communications and media, while being able to rapidly respond and react in what is an incredibly dynamic and fast-paced environment, regularly providing advice on sensitive and complex media matters to the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and Executive Leadership Team.
Your extensive experience in leading comprehensive, all-encompassing strategic communication programs will be supplemented by tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or a related discipline.
