One that is equitable and prioritises learning and wellbeing.Together we will make our education system the best it can be.When our children and young people thrive, so do our communities and our state.About the role:As a key member of the P&C executive team, the Director, Workforce Strategy is responsible for the strategic planning function within P&C to use research to inform workforce design that enables the department’s ambition, as well as support the vision for public sector employment more broadly.The Director will operate as a strategic coordinator in the identification of departmental and divisional priorities and will provide recommendations using data and insights, strategic forecasting and modernisation of technology and systems infrastructure.The Director will lead a team of staff to ensure the department is well-prepared to respond to current, emerging and future workforce requirements with a strong focus on efficiency and lean capability. Through this, the Workforce Strategy function will influence contemporary practice, excellence in operational execution, and better leverage the resource capacity and capability across the division.Essential qualifications and competencies:
- An appropriate tertiary qualification with post-graduate qualifications in an appropriate discipline being desirable, or relevant experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of contemporary people practices within the workforce context.
- Experience leading in a large and complex organisation at an executive level, ensuring the translation of priorities into executed deliverables.
- A three year executive contract.
