- Salary: $125,970 - MAS3 - Full Time / Ongoing appointment
- The Director of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategy and Clinical Services is responsible for providing leadership, consultancy, and strategic advice on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health matters within DASSA, and to enhance and develop systems and processes that support the development, implementation, and evaluation of relevant SALHN strategic Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health programs, projects and initiatives. These activities will help to establish DASSA as a Centre for Excellence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health within the alcohol and other drug (AOD) sector in South Australia.
- The Director of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategy and Clinical Services works closely with the SALHN Aboriginal Health Divisional leadership team to ensure the development of systematic approaches in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health throughout DASSA and SALHN.
- The Director provides leadership and specialist advice on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues, strategic Aboriginal policy development and responses; and service improvement initiatives that ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes across DASSA.
- The Director leads, evaluates and advises on critical Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health-related multi-agency projects, including providing strategic program advice to the DASSA Clinical Executive Committee and the SALHN Aboriginal Executive team.
- Key to the successful undertaking of the position, the Director will be responsible for ensuring that established systems include appropriate models of community consultation and enhancing existing internal/external relationships to further improve health outcomes for the community.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
- A DHS 'Working With Children Check' (WWCC) is required for this position
SA Health Services are required to implement the in the workplace.

- This is an Identified Aboriginal Health Role. In accordance with Section 52(2) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (SA), applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
- Working with Children Clearance must be renewed every five (5) years.
