BioCina is a global end-to-end biologics contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) of choice, offering process development and cGMP clinical and commercial manufacturing of the microbial, pDNA and mRNA modalities. Our US FDA, EMA, and TGA-approved site in South Australia, which was previously a Pfizer facility, is staffed with a tremendously experienced technical and operations team, with most critical SMEs having an average tenure of 15+ years at the Adelaide site.
BioCina delivers high-quality, cost-effective CDMO services, including cell line development, process development, and cGMP drug substance manufacturing solutions across the modalities we serve. To address the ever-evolving requirements of our current and future clients, we are adding a 2000L microbial fermenter and large-scale mRNA manufacturing capabilities to our Adelaide facility, and we will be establishing a second facility with Mammalian process development and large-scale cGMP manufacturing.
We are actively searching for a highly regarded industry professional to join our team as the Director of Business Development, with a strategic focus on the vast EU and APAC regions. This position presents a distinctive opportunity to shape and elevate our business trajectory, contributing to our global success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and winning new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and creating a pipeline of potential clients across various biologics modalities.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive lead generation strategy to exceed growth targets.
- Skilfully negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients, showcasing our capabilities, solutions, and value proposition effectively.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities, providing insights to guide decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and finance to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide regular reporting, analytics, and insights to the Senior Leadership Team.
Ideal candidate
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record of success in biologics sales, including negotiation of MSA and SoW financial terms.
- Solid leadership in Business Development, emphasizing lead generation, contract negotiation, and client presentation within the biologics CDMO sector.
- Extensive network and industry relationships in EU and APAC.
- Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- A strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to achieve results.
- In-depth understanding of GMP and biologics modalities within the CDMO environment.
