Director of Catholic Identity & Mission

The Opportunity

St Patrick’s College is seeking to employ a full time or part time, ongoing Director of Catholic Identity & Mission. The Director of Catholic Identity & Mission is responsible for implementing the Vision and Mission of St Patrick’s to be a school community of faith, learning, respect, and service in the Catholic tradition and under the guidance of the Principal. Specifically, the Director of Catholic Identity & Mission will develop the initiatives in the strategic plan (Catholic Identity and Mission) and respond to the religious dimension of the Archbishop’s Charter for Catholic schools in Tasmania.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.

About You

As Director of Catholic Identity & Mission at the College, you must demonstrate:

• Your high level of understanding of the Catholic ethos of the College and the ability to transform this into practice.   
• A commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education and your willingness to participate fully in the life of the College. 
• Your ability to deliver effective learning outcomes for students.
• Your skills and experience as an effective pastoral care tutor.
• Your ability to develop and implement curriculum that is engaging and rigorous and founded on evidence-based practice. 
• Experience in professional learning and continual improvement.
• Your commitment to and participation in co-curricular programs, camps, and other holistic aspects of College life and details of particular co-curricular interests.

About Us

St Patrick’s is a Catholic co-educational Year 7-12 college of approximately 1,500 students with a strong academic culture that encourages individual students to develop to their full potential through a broad educational experience.  The College is structured into a three school model of learning, incorporating the Middle School (Years 7 and 8), Croagh Patrick (Year 9) and Senior School (Years 10-12).
