An exciting opportunity has presented itself for an experienced Aged Care Community Manger to work with the team at Barunga Village, located in Port Broughton, SA.
Port Broughton is ideally situated on the upper most end of the Yorke peninsula. A popular seaside town, Port Broughton is known for its sensational sunsets and local seafood. The Director of Community Services is the senior leader and manager of the Barunga Village Community Care Program. We are looking for a dynamic leader to build the portfolio, seek opportunities to expand the growth of Community-based care and provide services that respond to the changing needs of clients and the regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and embed a culture of high quality, relationship-centred care.
- Foster a culture of interactive consumer engagement and support a high level of communication, client engagement and interactive service development.
- Ensure the Program delivers services which are relevant, accessible, inclusive and affordable.
- Liaise with the Chief Executive Officer to set budget and operational targets for Program
- Maintain and develop a workforce sufficient and appropriate to meet operational needs
- Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to develop and deliver the operational plan for the Community Program.
- Drive growth within the Community Services department by identifying new programs, service solutions, grants and initiatives that will create efficiencies and/or offer improved outcomes to consumers.
- Ensure Community Services Program meets regulatory and compliance standards.
- Monitor and manage identified risk in the Program and advise and make recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer on emerging or escalating risks to ensure minimal possible level.
To be successful in the role.
- Have a reasonable degree of financial acumen, with the ability to navigate complexity and influence.
- Experience as a Senior Leader managing Home Care Services and Community services in Aged Care or Disability services programs.
- Post Graduate qualifications or extensive relevant experience.
