Job description

St Patrick’s Community Support Centre Limited (St Patrick’s) is a not-for-profit organisation which provides community housing and specialist support services for people facing homelessness. 

They have proudly been working side-by-side with vulnerable people in the south metropolitan region of Perth for 50 years and currently manage over 350 units of accommodation throughout the metropolitan area. Guided by their Vision and Values, St Patrick’s has a strong appetite for innovation, partnerships and growth to achieve sustainable business and grow its housing portfolio to make an even bigger impact within their local communities.

Reporting to the Chief Executive officer, the Director of Housing will have overall responsibility for ensuring a high standard of operational performance and excellence in the delivery of Housing and Property management functions across the organisations existing and expanding portfolio. 

In this newly created position, the successful candidate will have significant experience at a senior leadership level within the community housing sector, with proficiency around operational Tenancy and Property management and have the ability to drive and support the implementation of the organisation’s Housing Strategy 2023-2028.

You will be an inspirational, values driven leader with a passion for social justice and supporting people and communities to reach their full potential, with the commitment to work collaboratively, whilst empowering your team to operate and deliver within best practice principles.

The successful candidate will display excellent people management and communication skills, have an appetite for innovation, be a self-motivated leader and mentor who is accountable for their decisions. In addition, you champion operational excellence, display a proficient business acumen and have a tertiary qualification in either Housing, Business, Management or Community Services
