Role Description/Criteria
Applications are sought for the position of Director of Performing Arts to commence as soon as practicable until 26 January 2027. This position will include an ongoing teaching position.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The role of the Director of Performing Arts is to facilitate, support and promote the Performing Arts life and culture of the College. They will optimise student learning through the provision of outstanding access to Performing Arts opportunities across the College.
The Director of Performing Arts has an integral role in the creation, development and implementation of programs and events which will make the most of the talents and passions of students across the College. The Director of Performing Arts has a key role in the College Production. At Padua, the Director of Performing Arts works closely with the Campus Music Coordinators, the Performing Arts Learning Leader, and the Campus Performing Arts Coordinators.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The responsibilities of the Director of Performing Arts include but are not limited to:
- overseeing the coordination and operation of the instrumental, vocal, and additional Performing Arts extra-curricular programs across the College;
- leading and managing the Performing Arts extra-curricular staff and events at all College Campuses;
- ensuring consistency of extra-curricular Performing Arts activities across the College;
- overseeing and coordinating of major Performing Arts activities across the College;
- preparing and managing Department budgets and resources; and
- performing other duties and implementing decisions as requested by the Principal or the College Improvement Team.

Teachers are supported by the Learning Leaders, the Assistant Heads of Campus (Learning and Pedagogy), Deputy Principals/Directors of Campus (Heads of Campus), and the Vice Principal (Learning and Teaching) across the College in the development, implementation, and teaching of the curriculum.
They are also supported by the House Coordinators, Assistant Heads of Campus (Student Wellbeing and Growth), the Deputy Principals/Directors of Campus (Heads of Campus) and the Vice Principal – Students, in the pastoral care and discipline of students, as well as the smooth and effective management of classes.
SALARY REMUNERATION: According to the CEMEA 2022, $77,248.00 - $114,591.00 per annum, plus 11% superannuation.
