Role DetailsThe Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is the lead agency supporting the Premier and Cabinet by developing policy and delivering programs to realise the government’s vision for South Australia. Having over-arching responsibility for Commonwealth-state and international diplomatic relations, DPC operates under the key values of trust, service, professionalism, respect and collaboration. At DPC we are curious, courageous, and connected. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and leading a professional, cohesive and energised human resource team, this role is responsible for leading and setting the strategic direction to promote and cultivate the department as an employer of choice. With a team of specialists in organisational development, industrial relations, work health & safety, employee relations and diversity & inclusion, together you will create innovative initiatives to build and foster the department’s workforce to be more representative of the diverse community DPC serves. Arriving at a time of transformational change internally, you will play an integral role in advancing the department's cultural and workforce needs for both current and future including delivering contemporary and strategic human resource programs and initiatives across the department. A conceptual, strategic and forward-thinking individual with demonstrated experience leading and influencing at senior management and executive level within complex, legislatively framed organisations will thrive in this collaborative environment. An awareness and utilisation of contemporary and progressive People and Culture trends for the benefit of the department’s entire workforce, you will have expert relationship and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to synthesise the ideas of others into practical and meaningful strategic plans. This is an opportunity rich environment where you have the support of the COO to set the People and Culture strategy, with the operational team to implement key changes that will establish a long-term, respectful, inclusive and high performing culture.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.

- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.

- Possess a relevant tertiary qualification.

Salary Range
$179,720 - $276,492 p.a.
