The Victorian Government’s Biodiversity Division sits within the Regions, Environment, Climate Action, and First Peoples Group of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA). The Biodiversity Division delivers a variety of services aimed at supporting diverse and resilient natural ecosystems for a liveable, sustainable, and prosperous Victoria. This includes developing efficient and practical regulations and programs and provides quality scientific information and decision-making tools. Engaging deeply with a range of internal and external stakeholders, the role manages competing demands and supports the development of new approaches and solutions. Delivering amongst the complexities of wildlife emergencies, the role will promote deeper engagement with First Nations people to ensure biodiversity is valued and cared for across Victoria.
