About the Role:
In this dynamic environment, the Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the entire Project Development process, from Development Application (DA) through to settlement. We are seeking a candidate with a strong business acumen, diligence, commercial savvy, and excellent teamwork and communication skills to contribute to the realization of our client’s vision - creating a flourishing community that embodies an unparalleled quality of life.
Main Duties (include but are not limited to):
- Manage the delivery of development projects and coordinate design, construction, marketing, and leasing.
- Conduct feasibility studies, concept design, sketch design, and tenancy plans.
- Coordinate with external teams to lodge development applications promptly.
- Lead projects at various stages of planning, development, and construction.
- Undertake detailed project scope, research, analysis, and planning activities as directed by the senior development team.
- Manage and coordinate project timelines in alignment with stakeholder requirements.
- Engage with relevant local government authorities during the planning approval phase.
- Manage tender and contract negotiations with builders.
- Oversee project control group meetings, review progress claims, variations, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Manage practical completion, handover, and defects periods.
- Prepare progress reports for management.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities to optimize outcomes, escalating when necessary.
- Undertake other tasks as required by the executives.
Requirements:
- Preferably from a Project Management/Valuation/Contract Administration background.
- 10 years or more of previous experience across the entire project development cycle, particularly in Mix-use development, encompassing retail, commercial, and residential projects.
- Proficiency in feasibility control and cost management.
- Familiarity with related regulations, the NSW planning process, and system.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
