The Job
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director to oversee our men’s and women’s AOD rehabilitation recovery centres as well as the clinical intake & assessments for community accessing these services. As part of the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for managing state and commonwealth funding, maintaining partnerships, strengthening community connections, and providing strategic direction to enhance our residential and Clinical Services.
Tasks include:
- Oversee the rehabilitation management to ensure we are providing high-quality services that are compliant with recovery practice standards.
- Lead the development and implementation of rehabilitation recovery and assessment frameworks, tools, and techniques to build continuous improvement expertise.
- Ensure high quality, effective and efficient delivery of programs at each rehab
- Oversee the service delivery, operational budgets and implementing innovative strategies to financial sustainability and exceptional care delivery.
- Provide decision-making support on complex cases, regulatory decisions, contentious issues, or ambiguous operational policy at rehabilitation centres.
- Provide support to managers of each centre and Clinical Services manager.
- Ensure reporting to funders is complete and submitted by due date.
- Ensure services are providing culturally safe responses.
- Build positive partnership internally and externally.
- Ensure we are meeting and achieving strategic goals of the organisation.
- Provide supervision to managers.
- Promote and provide healthy and safe programs across each centre

Your Skills & Experience:
- Minimum Diploma AOD, Community/Social Services or post graduate qualifications in leadership
- Ability to demonstrate high level of strong leadership skills and management of staff
- Knowledge, understanding and awareness of Aboriginal history, culture and community.
- Provide a description of having to show good organisation and time management skills.
- Understanding and experience of working within an AOD residential setting or equivalent to
- Ability to establish and maintain positive partnerships with ACCO’s and the Victorian aboriginal community.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive partnerships with government and mainstream organisations.
- Provide an understanding of AOD therapeutic models of care.
- Demonstrate and provide examples of developing programs and responding to tenders or submission that directly relate to improving service delivery.
Mandatory Requirements
- Current Victorian Driver’s License
- National Police Certificate (no older than 3 months)
- Current Victorian Working With Children’s Check (Employment)
