Position Summary
INTERIM DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL WORK/DEPUTY DIRECTOR OPERATIONS ALLIED HEALTH, WOMEN & CHILDREN

About the role
- Permanent, fulltime, Grade 6 (SC48) classification
- Based at Angliss, with options to travel across EH sites and negotiate capacity for working from home
- Long service leave cover from 1 April 2024 until 23 Feb 2025.
This role also offers an exciting opportunity to provide operational leadership within the Women and Children program within our Clinical Operations Directorate. As a Deputy Director of Operations (Allied Health) within this program, you will hold operational responsibility for Allied Health staff working within our maternity and paediatric services, as well as our Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) and Eastern Centre for Sexual Assault (ECASA), partnering with operational and clinical colleagues within the program and relevant profession directors to deliver on key operational objectives and optimise Allied Health contributions to the safety and success of these services.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Membership of ASWA or demonstrated eligibility for
- Demonstrated high-level leadership, innovative thinking and change management skills
- Demonstrated clinical and management experience across the continuum of care as well as multi-disciplinary models of care
- Demonstrated expertise in healthcare finance and budget management
- Demonstrated expertise in health industry workforce, industrial systems and clinical governance
- Demonstrated ability to lead high performing teams and individuals and address underperformance issues as they arise
- Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully implement creative solutions to complex systemic and organisational problems
- Excellent skills in collaboration, teamwork and creating & sustaining a positive workplace culture
- Awareness and understanding of National Standards and Accreditation Standards
- High level communication, written and verbal, with demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills with consumers, their families and all health care professionals
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Post-graduate qualifications in management or other appropriate field (desirable)
- Research, publication and public presentation skills
