AddressWe are looking for a talented Strategy Director to lead our Social Media department within the 1000heads APAC region. You will work independently leading and creating social strategies that are in line with the agency’s social transformation belief and process. You will work closely with a whole host of departmental specialists, from Creative Technology, to Design, to Production to deliver transformational social-first work for our clients.
The 1000heads Social Media team is a proud, powerful collective of social media obsessives, driven by the desire to drive kick-ass social conversation around some of the world’s most impressive brands. The social team is currently a team of 5 with the goal of expanding further across APAC. You’ll oversee this team and work with our new hires potentially in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Japan to be set up for success.
Role
- You’ll drive best-in-class social strategies grounded in driving conversation, building and leading innovating programs, and ideating award-worth campaign initiatives.
- You will lead a team of social media managers and will contribute and manage the overall success of the team who work with some of the world's top brands across a variety of industries, such as Google, Lenovo, Ancestry and more.
- You will be a key client contact and a leadership face for senior clients.
- You’ll be responsible for the oversight for the communities and social channels for our clients. As well as overseeing the team’s smooth delivery of editorial calendars and managing the day-to-day execution of all social channels, including moderation and daily engagement responses at the scale of millions.
- As it makes sense, you will be required to manage social communities and channels yourself (as part of onboarding new clients or to cover for the team when needed).
- Developing best in class processes and workflows will be pivotal in this new role, and you will lead the team in establishing ways of working
- Strategically feeding in to reporting on a monthly, quarterly and bi-annual reports to senior stakeholders, a right brain + left brain social expert
- Inspiring the team and making sure your department is at the forefront of innovation and trends from a social, client and overall perspective. Ensuring these trends are fed into the work as much as possible - both within the department and at an agency level.
Requirements
- Track-record in social marketing in an agency or brand environment, with 7+ years’ experience
- Big thinker/visionary who is an expert in in delivering social strategies in slides and presentations
- Great presentation skills
- Native on social media trends, platform capabilities, best practices
- Proficiency with social listening & analysis tools to train the team up
- Management experience of 2+ direct reports
- Ability to straddle strategic execution and a solid understanding of execution fundamentals; not afraid to get stuck in when the work demands it
- Knowledge and expertise supporting and creating social campaigns supporting overall marketing initiatives from both an organic and paid media perspective
- An excellent writer with a knack for social copywriting and editorial
- Experience with an influencer program and social ads would be useful
