About the Role: You will lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary Strategic Communications team to deliver integrated communication, media and engagement strategies which help to keep Queensland workers, industry and communities healthy, safe, fair and productive. This role requires expertise in delivering strategic communication planning, execution and evaluation for OlR's very diverse business areas. You will develop and maintain excellent business partnerships with senior staff, effectively influencing and collaborating with them to achieve their business goals. You will have the ability to guide, mentor and support others. You will drive a high performing team culture and ensure the team's effectiveness through sound governance, continuous improvement and accountability for achieving its goals. You will be responsible for whole of agency communication budget management and represent OIR on whole of government and national steering groups. About the team: Strategic Communications is a vibrant, multidisciplinary team which develops and implements awareness, education and engagement strategies that make a real, positive difference to work health and safety, electrical safety, workers' compensation and Industrial Relations issues for the people of Queensland.
