Job description

Find your Better Way

Every C&K career helps children belong and grow. We want the same for you and joining C&K means impacting a child’s life journey for the time they spend with us and long after they leave. But so much of what we do depends on you.

We’ll set you up for success with a range of benefits, programs and opportunities to help you earn, be well and grow.

  • Get a better deal with a wage rate of $80383.99- $112661.32 plus salary-sacrificing options.
  • Save money with childcare discounts for eligible employees with children enrolled at a C&K Murgon Centre.
  • Be rewarded for supporting the growth of our teams with a $1000 referral bonus for referring a successful candidate to a C&K vacancy.
  • New to the world of teaching? Get the best start to your teaching career with our 12-month Beginning to Teach at C&K program.
  • Live, work and be well with our Employee Assistance Program for you and your family, plus health insurance discounts through Bupa.
  • Find a healthy work-life balance with parental leave, return-to-work support, and family-friendly priority access to C&K childcare centres.
  • We fully fund your Blue Card, Police Check, First Aid, CPR, and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.

Help shape the future of children in our care

As our highly valued Teacher Director with our Murgon team, you’ll nurture an inclusive, collaborative and supportive team culture where everyone can belong, grow and thrive.

Murgon the town that’s anything but average! Tucked away on the Bunya Highway, just a short drive west of Gympie.

Take a deep breath of that fresh country air and get ready to be spoiled for choice with an array of weekend activities that might just convince you to make this your next move.

At C&K Murgon Community Kindergarten we have two kindy groups to choose from. All groups ensure children receive the same number of hours of education across the year. The groups have a maximum of 22 children and are led by an experienced and qualified early childhood teacher. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays and some pupil free days.

  • Group 1A: Tuesday and Wednesday, 8:00am to 3:30pm
  • Group 1B: Thursday and Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm

With energy, creativity and care, you’ll take a hands-on approach to teaching where you will lead a team of passionate people to deliver a quality educational program for children in our play-based learning environment. And as an approachable leader for families, children and your team, you’ll play an integral role in the overall operations and management of the centre to encourage and nurture children’s learning and development while building great relationships with our families and the wider community.

 What you’ll bring

To thrive and succeed in this role, you will either have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification) or a Bachelor of Primary Teaching with an approved diploma-level qualification.
  • First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
  • Valid Blue Card and current Police Check (issued within the last three months) or willing to obtain these.
  • A collaborative mindset - when you join C&K, you join a village of good-hearted, talented people, so you can lean on them as they lean on you.

You will bring a passion for achieving long-lasting, high-quality outcomes for children, their families and the community alongside a team-player mindset - when you join C&K, you join a village of good-hearted, talented people, so you can lean on them as they lean on you.

Join us and find a better way with C&K - for children, for you, for always.

C&K is a child-safe organisation and all C&K employees are required to undergo a police check and not be a ‘Restricted Person’ or Suspended Educator under the QLD Blue Card System.

We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and people from all backgrounds.
