- TRP from $239k to $263k including superannuation, commensurate with experience
Reporting into Valuation NSW's Chief Executive Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading a small team in the provision of strategic and operational policy, financial management, organisational communications, and executive support services for VNSW. You will also be responsible for providing expert advice, counsel and recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer, Valuer General, and the VNSW leadership team to influence organisational decisions and initiatives and to assist in exercising strategic direction.
This newly created, broad-ranging role provides you with the opportunity to lead many parts of VNSW's business operations, requiring a combination of constructive problem solving and internal and external stakeholder management to optimise the delivery of outcomes for the organisation.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated leader with extensive experience in providing strategic advice and solutions within a similar large and complex organisation. It is essential that you have demonstrated experience in strategic planning, financial management, and the successful delivery of policy, program and/or reform initiatives.
The key to your success will be your ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders and a strong commitment to building relationships, customer service and delivering quality outcomes. You will also be someone who considers themselves as an avid problem solver with the ability to work through and provide innovation solutions to complex business matters.
Additionally, you will demonstrate strong leadership and coaching skills with a track record of driving high performance and continuous improvement within a team.
About Us
The Valuer General is an independent statutory officer, appointed by the Governor of New South Wales to oversee the State's land valuation system.
Valuation NSW provides services to, supports, and where appropriately delegated, delivers relevant functions on behalf of the Valuer General of NSW. This includes:
- Defining and setting the standards and policies for the land valuation system for rating and taxing purposes along with the determination of compensation through the compulsory acquisition process to ensure integrity within the NSW Government is upheld.
- Making valuations as well as, monitoring, quality assurance and governance pertaining to the quality of the valuations undertaken relevant to both the Valuation of Land Act 1916 and the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991.
- Providing other specialised valuation activities, services and determinations as/when required for other cluster or statewide government partners; and
- Providing professional leadership and stewardship to the valuation industry.
