We are seeking Disability Support Workers to join our team.
As a member of our team your role will involve assisting our clients with daily living activities, helping clients to organize recreational and social activities, empowering clients to achieve their goals and remain as independent as possible.
This position will require you to work with clients with various needs including those with complex behaviours and medication requirements.
We are looking for candidates with experience and professionalism who can navigate these varying needs with skill and compassion.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Build rapport and collaborate effectively with staff/management, participants, their families, and friends to achieve a positive outcome and ensure a smooth service delivery flow throughout the participants' plan.
- Assist with liaising with participants' families and friends to explore new goals, and ambitions, promote and empower participants to achieve their goals and provide a medium of solid communication.
- Increase participants' skills with your active support and promote independence by enhancing their skills and personal development.
- Provide quality and professional support per participants' plans, needs, and wants.
- Assisting participants with accessing their social community to engage with their friends and social groups to promote a healthier lifestyle.
- Implement strategies and programs to develop/enhance participant skills and identify areas of increased support and opportunities for services to help achieve their goals.
- Shifts that are available range from Monday through to Sunday. Timings of shifts may vary. Shifts may range from a minimum of 2 hours to 8 hours, including overnight supports.
Qualifications
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR training
- Current full Driver’s License
- Minimum Certificate III in Disability, Aged or Individual Support.
- NDIS Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- Assist clients with Medication certificate.
- Experience working with clients with challenging behaviours.
- Manual Handling Certificate.
- Hand Hygiene
- Infection Control
