The Role:
We are seeking Support Workers in the Greater Hobart area including the Northern Suburbs, the Eastern Shore, and the Kingborough municipality with experience in caring for people with Disabilities. The ideal candidate will excel in caring for individuals living with a disability with varying support needs to enhance physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.
A successful candidate needs to be passionate about helping others maintain their quality of life.
You'll need to be compassionate, empathetic and a detail orientated individual who possess strong listening and communication skills to be successful.
As a Support Worker you could be working in people's homes and/or in the community and may help with tasks such as mobility, eating and drinking, personal care or accessing the community.
Duties and responsibilities of a Support Worker are unique and varied because those we support have unique needs. Whilst this can be a diverse role, the focus is always on supporting a person to lead a fulfilling and more independent life.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
- Support clients to identify and achieve goals
- Support daily living activities through capacity building
- Maximize independence and confidence through enabling clients to access the community
- Implement unique behaviour support plans
- Implement routines and structures through positive role modelling
- Collaborate with team members
- Build effective relationships with clients and their families and carers

Must Haves
- · Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- · National Police Check (Essential)
- · Valid Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Essential)
- · Valid Australian work rights
- · Open Driver's Licence, reliable car & insurance
- · Some sort of experience in Nursing, Disability Home Care, Aged Care and/or Community Work is an advantage
- Medication Administration Certification
