Disability Support Worker

Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to Disability Service providers.
  
We are currently partnered a highly regarded NDIS Disability Provider that provides SIL services for adults with a range of disabilities and needs.

We have multiple opportunities with immediate starts, which pay and treat you better than other agency work does. Providing you the right pay and terms and conditions you deserve, such as overtime penalties, weekend and weekday shift loadings paid per the industry award.

Overview of the role:

• Provide day-to-day support adults living in SIL arrangements and help them improve their independence and achieve their goals.
• 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm), overnight (predominately actives)
• Combination of short & long shifts (4 hour minimum)
• Assist participants with a range of personal activities including hygiene support, medication assistance, using manual handling equipment, domestic & meal assistance.
• Following specific positive behavior support plans (PBSP)
• Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.

What we can offer you:

• $40.26 per hour base plus penalties. Weekly paid. 
• Casual position with consistent hours & routine rosters however, to supplement consistent shifts staff ideally should be available to be pick up backfill shifts.
• Empowered by a dedicated Service Delivery Practice Excellence team providing you support, supervision, coaching and guidance.
• Work with a variety of participants, in a variety of support arrangements.
• Easy-to-use rostering app which allows you to view and accept shifts, complete reports/documents and update your availability.

What you need:

• Demonstrated experience working as a Disability Support Worker
• Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant)
• Australian Driver's License (minimum P2)
• First Aid Certificate
• CPR
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• WWCC
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Reliable smart phone with data
