The Cassidy Crew are seeking Disability Support Workers in the East Gippsland Shire.
We have a long standing reputation of delivering a high standard of support to NDIS participants and providing a supportive / friendly workplace for staff with flexible work life balance.
As a Support Worker you will provide varying levels of direct care for children, young people and adults including:
- Showering/bathing
- Dressing/grooming
- Toileting
- Preparing meals
- Assist with client’s physical and mobility requirements
- Shopping for and with clients
- Banking and paying bills (where applicable)
- Supervision of client’s medication requirements
- Washing and ironing of personal clothes
- Ensuring that bathing areas and clients appliances are kept in a clean condition
- Performing household duties and ensuring the house is clean and tidy
- Identifying the need for, and supporting client to attend, medical/therapist appointments
- Behavioural support
- Transport as required
- Dependent on individual needs, abilities and preferences, support clients to establish and maintain relationships and interests through access to community activities, venues and services.
- Encourage positive and socially appropriate behaviour, and effectively manage challenging behaviour.
- General duties as directed by the manager/employer.
Requirements:
- Current Employee Working with children’s check
- NDIS worker screening check
- Current First Aid & CPR Training
- COVID-19 vaccinations x 3
- Police Check
- Drivers Licence
- Further training as directed on employment
