We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, and mobility.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on the specific needs and goals of each client.
Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities, fostering community engagement.
Administer medication and assist with medical appointments under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and any changes in health status.
Collaborate with other support professionals, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Provide behavior management support and intervention strategies as needed.
Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities in various settings.
Respond to emergencies and follow established protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about best practices and updates in the field.
Qualifications:
Certificate or diploma in Disability support, aged care, or a related field.
Previous experience in Disability support or a similar role is preferred.
Compassionate and patient demeanor with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Cultural competence and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds and needs of individuals with disabilities.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Salary: $28.00 – $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
