Our organization is actively looking for dedicated and passionate Disability Support Workers (DSW) & Intensive Mental Health Support Workers (IMHSW) to join our team on a CASUAL basis. We are seeking individuals with substantial experience in assisting clients with Disabilities and Mental Health conditions, who are open to working in RUTHERFORD NSW.
The successful candidate will have the primary responsibility of providing support to clients with psychosocial disability/challenging behaviours, ensuring that they have a safe, comfortable, and personalized environment in which to enhance their skills, abilities, and aspirations. This is a CASUAL position where a range of shifts may available across the following regions**

Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage all office administrative tasks, including data collection, filing, scheduling appointments, and general administrative duties.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assess client needs and develop tailored care plans accordingly.
- Maintain daily shift notes and data logs as required by the organization.
- Offer emotional support to clients by engaging in conversations and actively listening to their concerns.
- Assist clients with domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping, and personal care.
- Accompany clients to meetings with healthcare facilities or agencies.
- Collaborate with clients' families to provide education on proper client support.
- Share advice and best practices with other Support Workers through effective teamwork.
- Continuously advance professional knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, and educational opportunities.
- Plan, develop, and implement the Individual Lifestyle Planning Process in alignment with NDIS plans and requirements where applicable.
- Coordinate Quarterly Client Review Meetings.
- Ensure that programs and activities align with agreed client ILP goals and follow a Person-Centred approach.
- Ensure all client interactions and support adhere to Disability Service Standards, the Disability Services Act, Policies and Procedures, and Q&S guidelines.
- Maintain petty cash at 100% accuracy at all times.
- Submit accurate and timely fortnightly timesheets.
- Foster positive family relationships and community networks to maximize participation.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude in all interactions with families and the community.
- Ensure a safe and healthy workplace by implementing and adhering to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
- Ensure a comfortable environment for the care of clients' animals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Certificate III in Assistant in Nursing, Aged Support, Disability, Community Services
- Certificate IV in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, or a related field.
- Prior experience in psychosocial Mental Health or Disability Support services.
- Knowledge and experience in implementing Individual Lifestyle Planning.
- Experience working with clients exhibiting challenging behaviours.
- Proficiency in documenting and recording client progress.
- Knowledge and understanding of NDIS.
- Familiarity with the Disability Services Act, policies, procedures, and Quality and Safeguards Commission.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
- Willingness to engage in Community Access and Supported Independent Living, including sleepovers when necessary.
- Experience and willingness to provide personal care to clients.
- Applicants should take pleasure in cooking, outdoor activities, extended walks, playing the guitar, and music.
- Prospective candidates should possess good physical health and fitness and should wear appropriate attire for walking.
