Requirements:
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
- Availability between 7 am - 6 pm Monday to Friday and ability to work every second weekend.
- Flexibility in adapting to a dynamic roster.
- Previous experience in Disability Support is advantageous but not required
Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centered support, fostering independence and well-being for individuals with disabilities.
- Assist participants with daily living activities and support them in achieving their NDIS goals.
- Facilitate access to community events, services, and social outings, including transportation.
- Maintain accurate records, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Promote a stimulating, caring, and culturally appropriate environment for participants.
- Offer necessary self-care, social, and emotional support to participants as required.
- Collaborate with the team to create and implement personalized care plans.
Essential Criteria:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check.
- Current driver's license with own vehicle.
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or prepared to obtain).
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willing to obtain).
- Must have working rights in Australia.
Qualifications & Experience:
- While experience is desirable, we are open to candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to learn.
- Certificate III, IV, or Diploma in Community Service, Disability, or similar on-the-job experience.
- Certificate III, IV, or Diploma in Mental Health or similar on-the-job experience.
