About the Role
Due to ongoing expansion of our service, we have a number of Disability Support Worker/Mental health support worker vacancies in Eastern/South Eastern Suburbs in Melbourne. We are keen to speak with applicants who are committed to delivering quality care for our consumers.
This is an excellent opportunity to:

· Contact with clients will be at our sites, as well as in their own accommodation.

What you need:
· Cert III Individual Supports and / or Cert IV Disability and / or Mental Health Care Qualification, or equivalent are preferred.
· Highly preferable experience of working with people with Autism/ADHD, Mental Health, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Intellectual Disabilities, Mental Health, Dementia & Advance Manual Handling Supports, Behaviours of Concern, Restrictive Practices will be highly regarded.
· Current working with Children Check
· Driver’s Licence, access to a reliable car and a willingness to use for transporting consumers (Where needed).
· Up to date Vaccinations (including COVID), CPR & First Aid & the right to work in Australia.
Your attributes:
· An understanding of NDIS and a commitment to it’s principal
· Work within the NDIS code of conduct.
· Completion of NDIS worker orientation module
· Ability to work autonomously, within a team, to assess, manage and respond to risk within the community.
· Respond to consumers’ needs, collaborate positively with their families, support people and others in their lives.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills – clear concise English.
· Maintaining daily recording records and data collection records (training provided).
· Computer, iPhone, and iPad skills

Please note: The successful candidate will be required to participate in an Australian Federal Police check and NDIS quality and safeguards worker screening, prior to confirmation of appointment for the support worker role. The successful candidate will also be required to inform any requirements or extra support they need to undertake the inherent conditions of the position.
