About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability in Mudgee. The assistance you will be required to provide will differ on the support needs of each client, however, experience with personal care, manual handling, medication assistance and behaviour support with clients of high behaviours of concern will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients in daily personal care routines, including bathing, shaving, and toileting
- Support clients with high behaviors, ensuring a safe and respectful approach
- Provide mobility aid by lifting, transferring and hoisting clients
- Follow person-centred active support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
- Facilitate goal attainment through meaningful client-chosen activities
- Track and document the changing needs of clients through thorough record-keeping
- Foster positive relationships with clients, families, and fellow team members
- Advocate for client choice and control with a focus on safety and compliance
Skills & Experience
- Hold an unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Experience with clients in mental health and behavioural settings
- Committed to work flexibly throughout the week, including public holidays
- Demonstrated competency in basic technology usage on mobile and desktop platforms
- A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 or willingness to obtain
Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
