In this role, you will be providing active support to deafblind clients within their home and their community to develop skills, independence, and friendships.
You will be supporting and encouraging our clients to participate in a range of day-to-day activities based on their hobbies, interests and goals set within their NDIS support plans.
You will ideally have Auslan skills along with experience actively supporting deafblind clients.
The role can be incredibly rewarding as you are an integral part of their journey towards 'Better Days, Every Day'.
Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:
Essential:
- The roster includes a variety of shifts, including: morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. These lines do not include sleepover shifts or active nights.
- Intermediate computer skills (ie: using Microsoft Outlook, documentation in a client management tool/CRM, Carelink +).
- Right to work in Australia
- NDIS Workers Screening Check / willingness to obtain
- Valid First Aid & CPR
- Auslan skills, or a willingness to learn
Highly regarded and desirable:
- A relevant qualification in Disability, Individual Support, Allied Health, Mental Health or working towards it.
