About the role
We are delivering NDIS support to clients living in their community and seeking Support Workers to deliver quality services on a Permanent Part-time basis up to 38 hours per week for the Adelaide Metro area.
These roles are responsible for providing support for people with disabilities to enable access to a quality life with dignity, respect and social inclusion in the least restrictive way and ensuring a safe environment.
You will be required to demonstrate previous experience working with behaviours of concern and people requiring mental health supports and also people with dual and triple diagnosis, have strong knowledge of relevant legislation as well as excellent skills in communicating effectively with a diverse group of key stakeholders.
Please note: To be considered for these roles, you must be available and willing to work unsupervised, fulfilling various shifts in one day and travelling between shifts at different locations - travel in your personal vehicle is reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients with complex needs, to assist with daily living (including personal care)
- Support People with Disability to access and participate in the community
- Adhere to individual plans, and working towards each client’s goals
- Advocate for People with Disability to improve client outcomes and achieve desired goals by engaging with clients and their families
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience supporting People with Disability, behaviours of concern/or mental health
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) and relevant mental health experience
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Australian Drivers Licence
- Ability to adhere to client support plans and complete documentation
- Commitment to providing quality support. customer choice and inclusion
Please note: Mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations may be required for this position, in accordance with relevant Public Health Orders across all States and Territories. In these circumstances, evidence of vaccination will be required prior to an offer of employment.
Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
