The role:
We are seeking Disability Support Workers to provide person centered support for an individual requiring 2:1 support living in their family home in the Salisbury area.
We are looking for applicants who are available for day and evening shifts and have experience providing support for clients with Acquired Brain Injuries or have experience working with high and complex care clients and / or behaviour management.
Duties:
- Manual Handling
- Personal Care
- Medication Administration
- Community Engagement and Social Support
- Domestic Assistance
- Allied Health led therapy program
- Positive Behaviour Support
About you:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent required
- Full South Australian Driver's License and reliable car
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Certification
- Current CPR Certification
- Manual Handling Certification
- Assist with Medication Certification
In addition:
- Must have sound understanding of the disability industry and providing person-centred support
- Must have experience working with individuals with brain injuries
- Passionate about supporting independence and providing in-home support
- Reliable and honest people with the ability to adapt to new environments
- Be available across 7 days a week
- Be able to committ to minimum 2-3 shifts a week
